This notice describes how Ridgecrest Capital LLC (“Ridgecrest,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with this website, ridgecrest.capital. It applies to this website only.
What this website collects
This website is informational. It has no accounts, forms, comment features, analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or marketing tools. We do not buy, sell, or share visitor data for advertising. A theme preference may be saved locally on your device, as described below.
Information handling is limited to three categories:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you request a page, such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser type, and referring page. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and capacity purposes.
- Email you send us. If you write to an address at ridgecrest.capital, we receive whatever you choose to include, typically your email address, name, and the content of your message.
- Theme preference. If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser stores that preference on your device. The preference is not sent to Ridgecrest and is not used to identify or track you.
How we use information
We use this information only to:
- operate, secure, and maintain the website;
- read and respond to correspondence;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use this information for marketing.
Service providers
The website is served by a third-party hosting and content-delivery provider, and company email is handled by a third-party email provider. These providers process technical data (such as server logs and mail routing data) on our behalf to deliver their services, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Retention
Hosting-provider logs are retained for the short periods set by the provider’s standard log-rotation practices. Email correspondence is retained for as long as it remains relevant to the inquiry or to the company’s legal and record-keeping obligations, and is deleted thereafter.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information described above. No website or email system can be guaranteed secure, however, and you should not send us sensitive personal information by email.
Your inquiries and deletion requests
You may ask us what correspondence we hold from you, ask us to delete it, or raise any privacy question by writing to mark@ridgecrest.capital. We will respond within a reasonable period and honor deletion requests except where retention is required by law or needed to resolve a dispute.
Changes to this notice
If this website’s data practices change, such as through the introduction of a contact form or analytics, this notice will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date above will also be revised.
